Reiki Attunement - The Direct Connection to Universal Life Force

One cannot learn Reiki from reading a book, watching a videotape, or over the internet.

A qualified Master/teacher of the Reiki system must pass special symbols into the student energy channel. Once attuned, the initiated practitioner will forever have the ability to use their hands as healing instruments for themselves and others. A simple willingness is all that is required. In Western Reiki tradition there are 3 levels or degrees of Reiki healing attunement process.

First Reiki power symbol is implanted. Reiki light is turned on inside the student’s energy field and they will carry this light for eternity. With this physical healing and physical cleansing process will begin within the student. Daily self healing using Reiki hand positions and Reiki meditations are highly recommended. The more one uses Reiki, the stronger Reiki flow becomes. From that point on a Reiki I practitioner can help others by simply placing both hands on their body thus initiating Reiki flow.

Two more symbols are activated within the student’s energy field, emotional/mental and long distance healing symbol. This will begin emotional cleansing process and it might get tough for a while. This is a clearing of old patterns and thoughts that block growth. When I was attuned to Reiki II, I had a smooth transition. However; my mom plunged into depression, old stuff needed to be processed surfaced and it wasn’t easy for her. My friend, Julia, went through the dark night of the soul after her second attunement. Once again, not everyone’s emotional cleansing is so dramatic, some people hardly notice any changes. Do understand that you will come out on the other side lighter, stronger, and happier.
Three Reiki symbols are taught to the student during the second Reiki attunement and they open unlimited possibilities of emotional and mental healing in addition to physical healing, long distance healing, protection, and manifesting.

III Degree Reiki Attunement

It is where Reiki master symbols are activated and a student becomes a teacher. It is an awesome privilege and responsibility and I am loving the journey.

Usui said that the purpose of Reiki system was to keep our bodies healthy, to help us lead peaceful and happy lives, to heal others and to improve the happiness of others and ourselves.

Recommended Reiki Books

The first book by Frank Arjava Petter gives an excellent and simple explanation of Reiki. It is very informative without giving the impression that only the author's opinion of Reiki is important. This book contains the explanation of Reiki given by its founder, Dr. Usui. A must for Reiki students!

The next book is by Diane Stein and is an excellent Reiki resourse that is if you can get over Diane's extreme feminine attitude. Its a great read and you will learn a lot.
