How I Became a Massage Therapist and Why I Love It.

Why am I a massage therapist? I will limit my introduction to my experiences with healing arts. The first part of my life, which now feels more like a past life, I lived in the USSR. I earned my Master Degree in Russian Language and Literature and taught at University for a while. Due to political reasons, I had to quit. It was then that I decided to become a massage therapist. I spent a few months at the state hospital as an apprentice. Shortly after, I moved to the United States.

Several years passed while I was busy trying to adjust to my new country. I changed few jobs, trying to climb a corporate ladder, you know, from a dishwasher to a waitress, the typical immigrant path. I went to college, studied programming and web design and became a legal technical consultant.

Yet, something was missing. When I grew closer to my forties my fear of growing old made me I question my life, the usual, how little I achieved, how I wasted my life...

Forward another few years of soul searching, I earned my first Reiki Degree from a wonderful traditional Reiki Master, Terry Rogers. Although I had no confidence in myself, I was amazed by the incredible relief this new energy flowing through my hands brought to my loved ones when they were in pain. So I went back and received a second degree attunement. More people I got to put my hands on, more wonderful results I saw, some short of miracle. I was hooked. By then I knew, I wasn’t the one doing healing, I let Devine to flow through me. I became a Master Reiki. I also attended a massage school and received my massage therapist national certification.

I was blown away by my experience with Tibetan Bowl Sound Massage and had to learn it. Tibetan Sound Bowl Tibetan bowls vibrations induce profound relaxation and harmonize energy field allowing body to heal itself.

During my trip to Esalen, CA, I studied Spiritual massage with incredible Brazilian healers, Maria Lucia Bittencourt Sauer and her sister, Aparasita Sauer. In my practice, I found this healing technique amazingly powerful. I continue my study with Maria Lucia.

I took a Spiritual Anatomy workshop in Lily Dale, NY with one of the best spiritual healers in the world, Tom Cratsley and was honored to serve in Lily Dale Healing Temple.

I continue to study healing arts, I love it! Healing is a natural high for me. During the healing session, I feel euphoria and frankly don’t know who benefits more, the person receiving healing or myself. I thank everyone I’ve ever treated and those who are yet to come for letting me experience the bliss like no other!
